Hampton Court, Auckland CBD
Hampton Court was an NZIA Gold Medal
winner in 1931. Since then this heritage building has undergone a
rooftop addition during the 1960's and a significant refurbishment
in the 1990's. This latest alteration to the building has suffered
from water ingress and non-compliance issues which formed part of a
legal action against defendant parties.
Kwanto assisted the Body Corporate in presenting its case during
the litigation process and the case was successfully settled at
mediation which gave way to the commencement of the construction
phase of the project.
Kwanto was also engaged as the cost consultants on the major
maintenance project which involved recladding the penthouse
apartments and extensive redesign to the roof area including access
and installation of a building maintenance system for the
building.
