NZIA Conference 2017
Last month Kwanto sponsored and was an exhibitor at
the NZIA conference. The two day event was held at the
Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland and over 1200
delegates attended. The conference
boasted several international keynote speakers,
workshops, tours and a great range of exhibitors.
Kwanto's bright orange booth drew the conference goers in to
speak with James, Maria and Jim. Over the course of the
two days we caught up with clients and met
delegates from around the country and listened to
the exciting projects our regions are working
Thank you to all the delegates and exhibitors who popped
in to see us, we hope you enjoyed the conference and we look
forward to seeing you again.
Green is the word
At Kwanto we are walking the sustainability talk. We have
successfully achieved certification for the Eco Warranty
environmental management standard for the fourth year
Since 2012 we have been working to reduce our carbon footprint and
weave sustainability into the fabric of our business. During
this time we have managed to reduce our electricity use by 38%,
fuel use by 30% and we are shuffling 60% less paper! We have
also supported ecological restoration projects by offsetting carbon
from flights and our New Zealand Green Building Council membership
has increased the team's knowledge and understanding of passive
design, green building and lifecycle costing.
Since being involved in the internationally acclaimed green
building project, Te Mirumiru, we aim to do more work in this space
and enhance our awareness of sustainability in construction and how
we do business. We challenge others to do the same.
