Since the last time…

It has been a while since our last Kwik Update, which of course means we have been busy…. making changes to the team and our offices.

We hope by now you have visited our new website, which we were very excited to launch at the beginning of the year.

We are pleased to introduce our new quantity surveyor, Caroline Kellett, who joined Kwanto in March. Caroline has trained in quantity surveying and architectural technology and is a valuable addition to the team.

Our Tauranga office has moved from the Mount to the CPG Building on Hamilton Street, in Tauranga.  With the offices' convenient and central location, we welcome you to drop by.

We held an event for our Bay of Plenty clients last week, which was a great chance to catch up and introduce John Peake who is now permanently based in the Hamilton Street office.

Budget control leads to quick sale

Situated in the Auckland suburb of Herne Bay, this residential home went through a full renovation to get it primed for the house market.

Kwanto was engaged by the funders of the project to provide our professional services throughout the duration of the project. Our role included providing an initial cost estimate, reviewing the builders' tenders and financially managing the project to ensure it performed to budget.

The overall scope of this project was a complete renovation of the existing dwelling, whilst seamlessly incorporating a modern addition to the rear of the house. This improved the indoor-outdoor flow of the family home, whilst maintaining its iconic appeal within the neighbourhood.

Despite several enhancements being made after the works had begun, construction costs still came within 1% of cost budget, which made for a very satisfied client. The house went onto the market and was promptly sold within a matter of weeks.

Website revamp - lets drink to that!

Kwanto's new look and new website was cause for celebration earlier this year.  On 24 March the Kwanto team and many of our valued clients enjoyed drinks and nibbles at The Corner Store Bar in Eden Terrace. 

Over the past nine months Kwanto has worked with Radiation Brand Navigation and bka Interactive to further develop our branding and revamp the website.  In mid March the website was ready to go live and we thought it was the perfect excuse for a launch event.  

The evening was a success and clients had the chance to take a peek at the website and also meet a few new team members.  Lots of faces were put to names and it was great to catch up with so many of our longstanding business acquaintances.
