Financial assistance for leaky homes

The financial assistance package (FAP) was announced by the government earlier this year.  This resolution option, set out by the Department of Building and Housing (DBH), could lead to the government contributing 25% of leaky home repair costs and the local council another 25%.

It is hoped the FAP will help many owners to overcome the challenges of the leaky home syndrome.  Kwanto aims to provide high quality quantity surveying services to ensure construction costs are true and accurate.  We are a preferred supplier to the DBH and members of our team have worked with the Weathertight Services Group since 2003.

Kwanto specialises in remedial estimation and has more experience in this area than any other quantity surveying firm in New Zealand.  We have provided estimates for the repair of over 4,500 leaky homes, and are routinely engaged to financially manage these projects.  James White is also an experienced quantum expert witness in the dispute resolution process.
